Inner Line Permit (ILP) Guidance

Legal RequirementUnder the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation, 1873, all non-locals entering Arunachal Pradesh must hold a valid Inner Line Permit (ILP).

How to Apply for ILP

You can apply online via the official Arunachal Pradesh ILP Portal or at state guest houses and commissioner offices. Ensure your ID documents (Aadhaar, PAN, or Passport) are scan-ready.

Types of Permits

  • Single Entry / Tourist ILP: Typically valid for up to 15 days, extendable upon application.
  • Employment / Temporary Resident ILP: Issued to non-local professionals, requiring a local sponsor (like your verified landlord).

For long-term rental stays, landlords registered on BaraGhar can assist by acting as local sponsors, providing signed tenancy agreement forms to submit alongside your resident ILP application.
